HunterNet Career Connections are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join their team as Sheetmetal Apprentices with our host company in Carrington. 

The successful applicants will complete a Certificate III Engineering - Fabrication Trade over 4 years and kickstart a lifelong career with a reputable who offers an array of general sheet metal work, and is also an experienced supplier and installer of ductwork manufacturing and installation.

As an Apprentice your main duties will include:

  • General fabrication and welding
  • Measuring, cutting, and working with aluminum, stainless steel and galvanised materials
  • Machine operating
  • Grinding, cleaning, and general preparation of surfaces
  • General repairs and maintenance of products
  • Following WHS policies and procedures
  • Attend RTO and maintain a high standard of work

Essential Criteria:

  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions
  • Reliable employee with great communication skills
  • Great time management skills
  • High mechanical and mathematical aptitude
  • Proactive and safety conscious person who can maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Willingness and ability to complete safety documents on a daily basis
  • Behave in a courteous and professional way at all times
  • Problem solving skills
