About the role
Supporting our corporate responsibility team, this is a newly created 13-month Internship opportunity which commences 30th January 2023. This role would suit an undergraduate student currently studying an Arts degree or similar who is undertaking a major or minor study program in Indigenous Studies. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to our Reconciliation journey while gaining skills and knowledge.
“What Will You Do”
- Work with our Corporate and Social responsibility teams to deliver a wide range of projects and initiatives focused on Reconciliation
- Supporting our key stakeholders with project coordination including managing project scope, resource management and management of project schedules
- Supporting, advising and helping to progress our reconciliation plan
- Support our reconciliation initiatives including projects related to working with indigenous youth and supporting other joint projects with Indigenous led organisations
- Provide consistency in delivery across all of our corporate responsibility projects
- Develop stakeholder relationships with our community partners, charities, organisations and industry bodies and manage those relationships and the flow or information
- Manage the development of corporate communications relative to our corporate responsibility group
- Manage reporting relating to our range of projects
To qualify for this undergraduate internship, it is essential that you:
- Are currently studying an undergraduate Degree of Arts (or similar) with a major or minor in Indigenous Studies
- Have between 1 and 8 units of study left to complete of your undergraduate degree as of February 2023
- Possess Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
Note: Applicants that do not meet these qualifying requirements unfortunately will not be considered.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- A passion for corporate and social responsibility with a particular focus on Indigenous affairs
- A keen interest in developing and delivering projects
- Can demonstrate outstanding interpersonal skills, a team work ethic and the ability to think and operate autonomously and independently when required
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
- Be proactive in engaging stakeholders to seek out necessary information to achieve set outcomes
- Time management skills and ability to multi-task
- An interest and willingness to learn and develop new skills in a diverse organisation
- Ability to understand and maintain confidentiality
- Strong computer literacy and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Valid car driving license highly preferred
- Working with children licence applicable to your state or territory or able to obtain one
