This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Information Technology Directorate’s procurement services, including planning, governance, and risk management, to meet business needs.
This role works collaboratively across the Information Technology Directorate and in partnership with Procurement teams to coordinate the delivery of Information Technology procurement services, to streamline governance and implement training and capability uplift initiatives.
About the role
The Senior IT Contracts Manager builds and manages relationships with vendors that supply IT products and services to the organisation ensuring that vendors meet or exceed their contractual obligations.
The role also undertakes the full range of activities associated with the management of IT contracts and agreements. This includes ensuring a cost effective, quality service that is consistent with the Department’s strategic IT objectives, maintaining information integrity, negotiating changes/modifications and monitoring supplier performance to deliver outcomes aligned with stakeholder expectations and government directions.
Essential requirements of the role
Tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience in contract management.
Key knowledge and experience
Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in government contract management is expected, preferably within an ICT environment.
