WHAT WILL BE YOUR DAY TO DAY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES?
Interpret site manager set daily requirements, learn and trial job specific construction methodologies and adopt most efficient and approved practices of execution;
Carry out a range of scheduled carpentry related tasks, as well as alternative labour intensive activities;
Engage in cooperative work with internal and external staff members under the supervision of team leaders and site managers;
Assist in carrying out ongoing quality assessments of all engaged onsite work to adopt and master high quality standards and practices;
Evaluate all on site work conditions and learn how to make sure they comply with the latest OH&S standards and practices;
WHAT SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES DOES THE RIGHT CANDIDATE NEED TO POSSESS?
With the company’s utmost commitment to quality and customer satisfaction the applicant will be expected to be well mannered, well presented and highly professional in their engagement with clients and other industry professionals. As well as have the following attributes and qualities:
High level communication skills [English];
Be reliable and punctual at all times;
Be a team player;
Be self-motivated, dedicated and be able to think on their feet;
Be keen, eager and interested in a career in the field;
Have utmost pride in their work;
Be able to carry out tasks quickly and efficiently as per the given instructions;
Be willing to learn and further expand their understanding of the field;
Plus, have moderate experience in the field and be required to possess the following documentation and skill sets:
A current and valid Driver Licence (Provisional or Full Licences are applicable);
Industry Safety Induction Card - ‘White Card’ or ’Red Card’;
2+ years of Carpentry site based experience;
Fluency in Digital Communication Technologies (use of various Android or iOS software and applications for a variety of record-keeping/book-keeping and documentation access tasks)
Please note: The successful candidate must have the right to work in Australia, be COVID vaccinated and be prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical examination and criminal background check where required.
