Doncaster East Preschool is a standalone, one room not for profit community run sessional kindergarten with a vibrant and large natural outdoor space. We offer a supportive, positive and stimulating educational program for preschool age children. Our qualified and experienced educators provide a play-based program which promotes confidence, curiosity, creativity and cooperation. We are committed to providing a child safe environment and we recognise the important role that educators play in protecting and advocating for children’s wellbeing. Description
Doncaster East Preschool is seeking a part-time Diploma or Certificate III qualified Educator with a genuine interest and passion in children’s development to join our 4 year old team for a fixed term contract role for in Term 2, 2023 due to staff on leave. The successful candidate will be able to work in a collaborative and cooperative manner and form positive partnerships with children, families, staff and the wider community. We require someone who has a strong emphasis on play-based learning and is committed to providing a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for all children. Session times: Monday 1pm-5pm, Tuesday 8:30am-2pm, Thursday 8:30am-2pm. This position will work alongside an experienced Early Childhood Teacher and Diploma Qualified Educator. There are regular staff meetings, and all staff are encouraged and supported to engage in professional development. Qualifications
Diploma or Certificate III of Early Childhood Education and Care, or equivalent ACECQA approved qualification
Current Victorian Working with Children Check
Current First Aid including Anaphylaxis, Asthma and CPR
Protecting Children - Mandatory Reporting and Other Obligations (PROTECT Training)
