Eden Ritchie is seeking an AO6 Senior Management Accountant to advise and add value to the administration of infrastructure functions and activities from a financial and budget management perspective, as well as contribute to a variety of other finance projects and functions across the business in order to deliver timely, accurate and high-quality solutions and outcomes for clients. You will also continue to build the service capability and credibility of the management accounting section.

Location: Brisbane CBD
As the Senior Management Accountant, your key responsibilities will include:
Preparation of budget forecasts and monitoring of financial performance, including monthly budget variance reporting and the coordination of end of month accruals.
Other budget management activities including budget profiling, FTE reporting and reconciliation and contributing to the annual budget review process.
Liaison with internal and external clients with respect to financial position, budget forecasting and future budget requirements.
Prepare and manage purchase orders in SAP, including the provision of purchasing advice in accordance with the Department's or State Purchasing Policy and Procedures.
Undertake research, analysis and evaluation to provide specialist advice, information and support services across a broad range of infrastructure, planning and asset management related issues, as part of the Infrastructure Finance Team.
Support business improvements and provide support to managers and team members to implement improvement and promote best practice within the team.
Undertake other finance and administrative duties as determined by the Team Leader and the Manager.
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
Contemporary management accounting experience - including knowledge of relevant legislation and directives, best practice and ability to quickly interpret relevant policies and procedures.
Working knowledge and skills in implementing budgeting concepts and strategies to ensure operational budgets are robust and management are accountable for expenditure.
Strong Excel skills and experience in financial modelling and project costing using contemporary financial management systems and tools to inform management decision-making.
Undertake research, prepare reports, monitor expenditure trends, analyse financial data and concepts, proactively initiate relevant action and discussions and formulating recommendations and reports to management
Good written and verbal communication skills; including the confidence to present workshops to small groups and management.
Ability to coach and mentor other team members and respect diverse perspectives
Ability to prioritise workload to ensure that services and programs are delivered within required timeframes.
Cultivate productive working relationships at all levels of the organisation
Dedication to customer service and continuous business improvement.
