About the role

The Child, Youth and Family Support team support children and their families across the Northern Sydney area. The service promotes early intervention and access to clients experiencing stress or family difficulties and provides tailored and individual supports to help children and families improve overall wellbeing. The role of will co facilitate the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander supported playgroup and will work with our other casework staff to provide other direct client support such as access to services, referrals and advocacy as required.

This is a Casual position working 3 hours per week on a Thursday.

Duties
  • Co Facilitation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander supported playgroup
  • Contribute to cultural connection amongst the groups
  • Support young parents with early childhood development and play
  • Contribute to planning around cultural activities for the group
  • Feedback group needs to CatholicCare caseworkers and managers to strengthen CatholicCare’s service delivery Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander client groups
Requirements
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team and unsupervised.
  • Current Driver’s License.
  • Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, this is an identified position.
  • Working With Children Check
  • Police Check
