• Base Salary $78,267 – 87,611: $43 – 48 per hour. (salary packaging available)

Women’s Legal Service NSW is a community legal centre for disadvantaged women in NSW. We are looking for a Community Access Officer for the First Nations Women’s Legal Program. This role is focused on ensuring our services are culturally safe and accessible for First Nations women, raising awareness of women’s rights in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, and advocating for law and policy reform. Our services are mostly in family law, domestic violence, child welfare and discrimination.

Selection criteria include:

A commitment to social justice, demonstrated experience in community education and development, facilitating workshops, understanding of Human Rights and advocacy, capacity to consult with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and develop strong networks.

Ability to travel to rural NSW and current driving license essential. We offer flexible working conditions and fringe benefits. The position may be offered part time or on a job-share basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for an independently motivated First Nations woman to develop community leadership throughout NSW.
