We are seeking applications from motivated, community minded people to join our Health Promotion team. This is an exciting new position, where you will have an opportunity to provide input into the development and delivery of health promotion initiatives tailored for our local Aboriginal community.

What you'll be doing

The primary purpose of the position is to add value to the work of the Health Promotion Service (HPS) across all four priority areas: healthy eating/active living, prevention of harm from alcohol, tobacco control and falls prevention. It will ensure that HPS initiatives are effective, culturally safe and inclusive, delivered in a manner that is beneficial to and facilitates positive outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people of the Central Coast. It will ensure strong linkages between the HPS, Nunyara and local Aboriginal organisations and communities, facilitating their involvement and engagement in health promotion programs. It will also provide additional cultural expertise within HPS and further enhance cultural capability and awareness of the service.
