The role:
We are hiring for a new Academic and Human Resources Manager to work part time to support our team of centre managers, mentors, tutors and markers in our academic programs. Proposed hours of work is 24 hours per week (4 days x 6 hours) including Saturday.
Reporting to:
Head of Academic
Key responsibilities:
Recruit and shortlist candidates for mentor, tutor and marker roles
Interview and hire shortlisted candidates
Work rostering management - Timesheets, replacements, placement, timetabling
Onboarding new staff
Be central first point of contact for teaching staff issues
Performance and remuneration reviews for teaching staff
Culture and community building
Your attributes:
People person - you will be dealing with and managing 60+ staff so must love meeting and dealing with young people from different walks of life
Detail oriented - attention to detail is critical in timetabling, rostering and managing hundreds of casual shifts per week
Problem solving - finding solutions at short notice with various stakeholders
Empathetic - understand the priorities of young mentors and providing training support to achieve outcomes
Who you may be:
Administrative experience in schools, university, TAFE, other
Parent of school aged student interested in the sector (discounted tuition is available for staff)
Parent looking to return to workforce on part time basis
Recent Graduate looking for first role in HR
