Caterpillar Australia has a fantastic opportunity for an energetic, diligent and self-starter professional to join the Construction Industries Services Development business as an Aftermarket Corporate Account Manager based in Melbourne. In this role, you will work closely with our defined Corporate Accounts, internal stakeholders and dealer network to deliver and execute the annual business plan.
Your core tasks will be focused on engaging the assigned CAT dealer network, develop and implement aftermarket channel solutions for targeted high-opportunity customers. Your communication skills will be critical to your success in this role as you work to optimize dealer' sales force and sales channel effectiveness, in addition to leveraging opportunity management systems and processes, while recognizing and respecting independence of dealer.
Reporting to the Area Sales Manager for Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia (ANZI), this position is being offered as full time permanent on-going employee. The successful applicant will have flexibility with their hours and travel requirements
About the Role
Collaborate with dealers and internal stakeholders to help them enhance digital and physical sales coverage for Retail
Identify new retail aftermarket solutions growth opportunities, develop & execute approved targeted marketing campaigns
Optimize parts sales variance utilization within assigned budget to drive incremental top line revenue and deliver business plan.
Drive regular sales performance reviews with dealers and ensure proactive implementation of corrective actions where needed.
Track opportunity, participation, and close rates. Develop local action plans, leveraging CRM and Customer Insights, to attack lost sales.
Seek understanding, document, and communicate internally on customer requirements, business models, competitive landscape and other market intelligence to ensure development groups and other entities are aware of product & customer needs.
Keep up to date with industry trends, changing technology and market regulations in countries covered.
Manage individual travel and entertainment budget
Understand Caterpillar's business model and act within the business process guidance on review and approval for variance programs and commercial actions.
About you:
A University Degree in engineering, business/entrepreneurship, or marketing and/or experience working in a dealer/supplier relationship in sales and marketing areas
Professional with stand-out interpersonal skills and clear decision-making and creative problem-solving qualities
Solid project management skills and an ability to coordinate multiple projects to meet competing deadlines
A natural ability to work with many different stakeholders in varying functional and seniority levels
Can demonstrate strong business acumen with excellent skills in negotiation and influencing
Knowledgeable about the Australian retail construction industry is highly desirable but not essential
