Account Manager/Business Development Director (Government Clients)
My client, a global mission capability provider is seeking a Account Manager/Business Development Director (Government Clients) to support their consulting business based out of Canberra. The successful applicant will be required to maintain and develop relationships with key stakeholders and customers, and should have a proven track record of selling business across accounts and working on commercial agreements within this space.
This role involves a mix of business development and account management, and considering the sensitive nature of their customers, the ideal candidate will have had exposure to working with Government agencies, and be comfortable working across complex, commercial sales.
Responsibilities and Roles
Manage and develop existing client relationships
Develop and deliver sales plans to achieve success in multi-level offerings of security products, capability and consulting services
Co-coordinate pre-sales engineering and technical support to develop capability offerings
Lead bid management, proposal development and negotiation of commercial contracts for sales of products and services
Report on sales and the account development progress
Provide suggestions to improve market offerings to meet client need
Employee Attributes
Hold an Australian Security Clearance
Demonstrated experience of selling into Commonwealth community
Strong track record of revenue generation
Strong communications skills
Motivated to work hard and be productive
