Our client is a manufacturer of various industrial products, providing leading innovation to clients around the globe.
With corporate head offices in Singapore and the US, the local businesses are scattered throughout Australia. An opportunity has become available in their Seven Hills office to support one of the Business Units as an Accountant.
About the role
Reporting to the local Finance Lead, this is a pivotal role supporting the implementation of SAP go live project 2024. Your duties will include but not limited to the following
- Enhance organisational effectiveness through continuous improvement and innovation
- Prepare month-end journal entries
- Coordinate the activities of account receivables and payables, including providing advice and assistance regarding financial guidelines, policies and legislative requirements
- Monitor primary working capital to achieve business target
- Reconcile all General Ledger accounts
- Assist in the preparation of fringe benefit tax return
- Assist your Manager with the reconciliation and reporting of direct and indirect taxes
- Prepare data for year-end audit
- Assist your Manager with the forecasting and budgeting process
- Support the team during accounting system implementation
- Any other duties that may by requested to support the finance team
We are currently interviewing for a start on Monday 8th January 2024. The successful candidate will have the following
- At least 3 years previous experience in a similar role
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Previous experience with SAP
- Attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines
- Flexible and adaptable to process changes
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external)
- This is a pivotal tole providing support to the local finance lead with the BAU requirements whilst being part of a key system implementation and process transformation
