Accountant - Fund Reporting

The Role

The purpose of the Fund Reporting Accountant is to ensure that timely and accurate financial control and external reporting requirements of Insignia Financial Ltd super funds are delivered to management and regulators within agreed timeframes and conform to best practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare general ledger reconciliations
• Prepare regulatory returns in a timely manner
• Make fund level payments
• Ensure all work papers are prepared in accordance with accounting and tax policies and best practice
• Assist with Management and Board reporting to ensure they are prepared accurately and within agreed deadlines
• Ensure compliance requirements are met, and the provision of accurate reporting to enable required control mechanisms
• Maintain accounting files and update various documents, spreadsheets, and databases
• Assist with external audit process as required

To Be Successful in This Role You Will Possess:

• Degree qualified or high level of industry operational experience
• CA/CPA qualification or progression towards
• Intermediate Microsoft office skills
• Flexibility to work well with team
• Growth mindset embracing of change
• Interest in asset management, superannuation, and different securities and financial products and how they support investor goals
• Client service skills and client first thinking
• Ability to learn about financial laws and procedures to protect products and ensure legal sound decisions
• Excellent relationship-building and networking skills
• Ability to develop detailed financial documentation and ensure accuracy
