Accountant / Admin
Our engineering and training group seeks to appoint an experienced and organised commercial accountant to manage all duties required to maintain the books of multiple entities under the guidance of the Chief Financial Officer. (Note, this is not merely a taxation accountant role).
The initial contract period is for three months part-time, with a view to a permanent position for an impressive candidate who displays the right attitude that complements our organisational culture and values.
On offer is a fantastic opportunity for a suitably experienced individual to work in an autonomous role on a part-time basis. Weekly hours will be approximately 25-30 hours which will be flexible according to workload and deadlines such as month-end requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities (Accounts)
- Accounts payable
- Project Administration and Job Costing
- Invoicing and accounts receivable
- BAS preparation and Lodgements
- Reconciliations of all balance sheet items including Banks, Credit Cards, Intercompany accounts
- Preparation of End of Month Accounts
- Liaising with the External Accountant
- Other ad hoc accounting duties
Duties and Responsibilities (Administration)
- Mail Collection & Posting
- Office supplies & Stationeries
- PPE, Uniforms & Workwear
- Liaise with Landlord/Building Manager
- Manage Service providers
- Freight & Logistics arrangements
- Liaising with the External Accountant
- Employees & Training Register maintenance
- Other ad hoc administration duties
Requirements
- Minimum two years' experience in Bookkeeping and Administration
- Sound knowledge of MYOB AccountRight and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organisational, communication and time management skills
- Availability of at least three days per week to work from our Salisbury office
- Formal accounting qualifications or studying towards CA/CPA will be highly regarded
