About the role:
We are seeking the services of an Accountant to be employed on a full-time basis. You will be working alongside the Finance Manager, business owner and other key staff at our head office located in the Parramatta area.

The role will include:
Working with Finance Manager to prepare budgets and general cash-flow management policies for the business
Examining bank statements and reconciling them with general ledger entries
Allocate income and costs across various entities and divisions
Preparation and lodgement of Monthly BAS/IAS and payroll tax
Overseeing operating costs by reconciling and processing accounts payables on a timely basis in liaison with group buyers and stock controllers to ensure accuracy of major supplier statements and creditors prior to payments
Analysing data collected in order to determine the state of the company's financial health
Generate monthly and ad-hoc financial reports as required by management and key stakeholders including liaising with external accountants for the production of quarterly management reports.
Assisting with ad-hoc projects regarding the implementation of new and improved information systems, processes and infrastructure to allow for greater information flows and synergies within the business and financial reporting process
Generating quarterly superannuation statement for payment by the business
Processing of fortnightly payroll, using MYOB and other systems as they are implemented
The Candidate will possess the following:
At least a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
Relevant inhouse accounting experience undertaken within a sizable business
Eye for detail
In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes
Outstanding analytical and time management skills
A desire to hold a permanent, full time position in a team environment
A professional, conscientious, flexible and positive approach to all tasks
The role requires, a high level of accuracy, organisation and thoroughness which should be able to be demonstrated by previous similar experience. Excellent time management skills are vital to ensure that the work can be completed within the necessary time constraints.
