The role

We are currently seeking a part-time Accounts Officer to join our team and assist our Finance Officer. The role is autonomous in nature and the successful candidate will need to take ownership of their responsibilities and tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Processing weekly NDIS invoices;
- Maintaining debtors ledger by following up overdue payments;
- Processing weekly supplier invoices;
- Managing and reconciling company credit cards;
- Processing petty cash and staff reimbursements;
- Answering the phone and responding to client and staff enquiries;
- Reconciling weekly bank statements;
- Providing general administrative support when needed;
- Assisting with fortnightly payroll data entry;
- Providing backup and support for payroll when needed;
- Assisting with month-end procedures as required;
- Updating customer master file including emergency information and NDIS pricing maintenance; and
- Maintaining Asset register as required.
Essential criteria
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel (must be able to use lookup functions and pivot tables);
- Experience using MYOB;
- Ability to work autonomously;
- Excellent organisational skills to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks and proactively solve problems;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
- A team player with a positive attitude and a flexible approach to work; and
- Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Desirable criteria
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance/Accounting will be highly regarded.
- Previous experience working in a similar role or the desire to progress a career in this field;
- Previous experience working with NDIS
- Previous experience with Xero Proficiency;
- Intermediate computer literacy.
