Our client is a global leader in the manufacturing, processing and sales of control equipment, they are growing rapidly and require an Assistant Accountant to join their team.
We are seeking an Accounts Officer to join the Finance team in a fast paced and challenging work environment. This full-time role will be a great development opportunity for the right candidate.
Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, your main focus will centre around Accounts Payable duties and helping with coverage in high volume periods and each Friday in Cash Receipt Allocations.
Other duties include:-
- Processing and payment of invoices and/or expenses by ensuring timely accurate data entry
- Review invoices to purchasing records, assigning general ledger codes where required
- Resolve invoice discrepancies
- Prepare supplier payment batches for Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) payment
- Reconciliation of supplier statements to company records
- Maintain the supplier (master) file, ensuring up to date contact and bank account details.
- Archiving of invoices
- Provide coverage for Accounts Payable, Concur Administrator and Accounts Receivable function
- Previous experience in a high-volume accounts payable role or experience allocating Cash Receipts
- High level ability in the application of computer software, including spreadsheets and accounting packages.
- Experience using AS400, BPCS or Mp5 is advantageous.
