The Role
We are seeking a part time Accounts Payable officer who will be accountable for the execution of accurate payment of invoices and management of Accounts Payable balance of the Pacific Energy Group balance sheet for our Renewables division.
This role will report to the Group Receivables and Payables Manager for Pacific Energy. This is a multi-tasked position and will require to prioritise adhoc tasks as well as meets demands in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable ledgers for function for our Renewables Businesses.
- Ensure accurate recording of vendor invoices in the ERP
- Ensure 100% accuracy of payment of vendor invoices & on time payment
- Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to resolve any invoice discrepancies or payment issues.
- Engage with the Business and Contracting & Procurement team to reach optimal commercial outcome for early/late payment of outstanding amounts
- Support monthly attribution of payments to either capex/opex for projects and provide reporting to Corporate Finance
- Execute weekly payments
- Analysis & Reporting of AP results including aging of creditors
- Manage month end close activities for the specified Payable Ledgers
- Expenditure management – give input to credit control, monitoring spend (VOWD), accruals, latest estimates
- Experience in Accounts Payable or Receivable teams
- Previous entry level experience
- Knowledge of accounting principles, finance processes.
- Experience in MYOB, GreenTree or other ERP systems
- Proficiency in accounting software & Microsoft suite of products
