Our client is a large federal government department that has responsibility for the safety and security of Australia and its citizens. The Opportunity
Work with a team known for a great culture, where you will be offered an initial 12 month contract opportunity to join their accounts payable team with view to permanency. You will be a part of BAU work as well as numerous projects and be working alongside strong performing team members.

As the Accounts Payable Officer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Processing accounts payable invoices and resolving all queries
- Processing and reconciliation of staff credit cards
- Preparation of monthly payment runs
- Reconciling monthly supplier statements
- Reviewing pending and duplicate invoice reports
- Contribute to continuous business improvement with ideas and suggestions
- Project work as required
You will be a high performing, tech savvy, finance minded professional who enjoys hardworking and fast paced environments and take pride in your work. A high level of attention to detail is essential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are equally important as being able to work within the team and with external stakeholders will be critical to your success in this role. You will also be able to think independently to solve problems and show initiative.
Current Australian Citizenship is mandatory as you will be required to go through a Commonwealth Government Security Clearance process to perform the role.
Salary / Rate
- $60k – $75k + 15.4% Super
- 12 month contract to permanent
