We are seeking an energetic, dynamic and experienced accounts professional to join our team based at our Head Office in Bayswater, Victoria.
We aim to start the right Applicant as soon as possible.
What is the main role?
This role is to take charge, manage & own the Accounts Payable function of the business and to assist/relieve the Accounts Manager with Payroll and other Accounting functions.

- Processing Supplier Invoices approx. 50-60 invoices per day
- Scheduling payments
- Reconcile supplier statements
- Analyse, identify and resolve invoice related issues
- Process credit account applications, understanding T&C’s
- Supplier database management within 2 systems
- Management of subcontractor files, insurances & licences etc.
- Bank reconciliations
- Reconciliation of credit card statements and expenses
- Manage motor vehicle database
- Process orders for new e-tags, fuel & supplier account cards and dispatch to employees accordingly
- Electronic filing of all accounts documentation
- Back up weekly payroll
- Back up Accounts Receivable, processing sales invoices, credit card payments, reconciling receivables banking
- Assist with the day to day duties of the Accounts department
- Other ad-hoc administration and accounts processes as required
- Answer accounts queries via phone and email
- Some back up of main reception phone
Advanced level of experience required in:
- Accounts Payable End to End
- Xero Accounting Software or similar
- Accounting Principles
- Microsoft Office in particular Excel
- Payroll & Related Returns
- General Accounting/Bookkeeping
- Accounts Receivable
- High level Payroll experience
- Construction Industry back ground
- Minimum 10 years of recent experience in Accounts Payable
- Proven track record in a similar role
- Accuracy & attention to detail
- Good analytical & problem-solving skills
- Effective & confident communication skills both written & verbal
- Excellent planning, organisation & time management skills
