About the Program:

The MCFP includes a range of practice teams that deliver a Permanency Support Program, Family Preservation, Foster carer recruitment and community engagement, foster care assessments and training. The program is supported by the Quality Innovation and Practice teams, which includes arrange of child and family PSP practice specialists roles, quality and safeguarding teams and the data and revenue functions.

About the Role

The Accreditation and Implementation team is key to oversight and analysis of SSI’s practice evidence against NSW Accreditation standards, responding to gaps and engaging/co-designing tailored system and process responses that enhance organisation and program-specific data, particularly relating to CALD children and families involved in child protection and OOHC.

You will contribute to the identification, remediation and preparation of data to achieve comprehensive five-year accreditation re-application, ensuring that gaps in data for re-accreditation are identified, communicated, and addressed.

 

Key Responsibilities not limited to: 

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a MCFP accreditation and implementation Plan that aligns with MCFP continuous Quality Improvement Plan and Strategic Plan
  • Plan and carry out day to day operational processes for accreditation, in accordance with Office of the Children’s Guardianship (OCG) evidence index requirements and MCFP accreditation and implementation plan
  • Collect and manage data to support reporting and recommendations in relation to the processes and outcomes associated with accreditation
  • Undertake project work, as directed, to continuously improve accreditation policies, processes, and systems.
  • Contribute to the implementation of systems, reporting or other governance that maintain practice standards in line with accreditation standards

 

 

Essential Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work or another relevant field
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with experience in coordinating small teams or committees
  • Prior experience in an accreditation and/or regulatory/compliance activities.
  • Experience managing projects and change.
  • Prior experience in the implementation and/or interpretation of policies and procedures and/or codes and standards.
  • An understanding of the relationship between regulation and the delivery of safe and effective child and family services
  • Ability to work autonomously, as part of a small, dynamic team
  • Sound knowledge of the Permanency Support Program and Office of the Children Guardian.
