About the role

Working closely with the Trading Team, the Accumulation Manager will be crucial in leading and developing the company’s commodity procurement strategy, primarily focussed on accumulating grain into Qube Agri’s storage network. Ideally the role will be based in either Toowoomba or Regional NSW (Dubbo, Narromine, Narrabri).

In order to deliver maximum outcomes, the successful candidate will possess highly developed relationship management, communication and organisational skills with the confidence to operate autonomously. In addition, you will need to be proactive in establishing relationships directly with growers, grower brokers, industry associates and internal stakeholders.

The position will suit candidates that possess previous experience in Agribusiness, Commodity Marketing, Customer Account Management focused roles or can be adapted into a development opportunity for a less experienced individual looking to develop in this space.

Position: Accumulation Manager

Location: Ideally the role will be based in either Toowoomba QLD or Regional NSW (Dubbo, Narromine, Narrabri).

Status: Full Time

Duties

  • Represent our business within the regional communities we operate, functioning as the primary point of contact for grower clients.
  • Develop strong strategic relationships through targeted customer engagement strategies.
  • Maintain regular contact with key clients through direct on farm visits, grower information meetings or other proactive engagement strategies.
  • Disseminate relevant market, site and company information to clients as required.
  • Negotiate and seek mutually beneficial agreements with supplier stakeholders.
  • Work proactively with the Trading Team to develop and execute the company’s commodity procurement strategy to achieve volume and financial targets.
  • Compile and actively communicate information pertaining to agronomic & marketing factors affecting grower clients to relevant internal stakeholders to ensure supply and grain procurement targets are met.
  • Assist with the formulation of business growth strategies and daily operational requirements.
  • Manage your team to ensure business performance and achievement of individual and team goals.

About You

  • Experience in grain trading, sales, accumulation, that includes the responsibility for planning and directing work activities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously, possessing proficient administration and time management skills.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications such as Business / Commerce or Agricultural Economics / Ag Science, advantageous but not essential.
  • The successful candidate will demonstrate a well-rounded skill set including strong analytical and decision-making skills, identify continuous improvement opportunities, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop effective relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
