SALARY: $131,127 P.A. PLUS SUPER
Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Thamarrurr Catholic College is a K-12 comprehensive Catholic College located 430 km by road from Darwin in the community of Wadeye, servicing the community and surrounding outstations. Wadeye is the 6th most populous town and the largest Aboriginal community in the Northern Territory.
The Deputy Principal (Primary) holds a senior leadership position in a Catholic School. The Deputy Principal (Primary) is challenged to be a person of faith and vision for Catholic education and have the capacity to communicate this vision to others in the school community. The Deputy Principal (Primary) works collaboratively with the Principal and other members of the school leadership team to provide strategic and operational leadership in the following areas: Catholic Identity, Leadership, Teaching & Learning, Pastoral Care & Wellbeing, Community and Culture and Finance, Facilities and Resources.
A commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education is an essential requirement.
This position involves working with children. The appointment of the successful applicant will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with legislation.
