About the facility
Barwon Health is the major public health care provider in the Barwon South west region with a 406 bed public hospital (University Hospital Geelong), 100 bed subacute facility (McKellar Centre), 2 community rehabilitation centres, 21 community health sites, four aged care facilities, university affiliated international research and tertiary education and over 7000 staff. Barwon Health has just released its strategic plan for 2020-2025 with further building and community service development in Torquay, subacute paediatric development at McKellar Centre and a Geelong women’s and children hospital development.
About the role
Temporary OT or PT Hand Therapist position available until June 2023 at Barwon Health. As the successful applicant you will work closely with Hand Therapy department staff in the implementation and delivery of hand therapy services, assisting in the day-to-day running of the service, following up on patient and therapist requests, referral management and assisting in advanced practice hand therapy led clinics. You will work in an innovative multidisciplinary team who maintain extensive knowledge and experience. We offer a comprehensive orientation program and training and you will receive supervision from an Occupational Therapist.

Desirable: Postgraduate qualifications in Hand Therapy
Desirable: Experience in clinical research
Essential: Degree in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy from an accredited course
