What you'll be doing
This position provides efficient and effective administration/ clerical/ secretarial duties various levels as required by Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD). This position provides a professional and consumer focused approach at all times. The role works under general direction and guidance with regard to process requirements and decision making, however there is flexibility and sometimes limited supervision with regard to work prioritisation and structure. Tasks carried out may include acting as a first point of contact for patients, data entry into various electronic systems, multiple records management tasks, and review and validation of information. Where appropriate this role will share responsibility in facility entry screening and may undertake basic tasks such as use of a thermometer or similar.

Selection Criteria: * Demonstrated administration experience with competent use of IT applications including but not limited to computerised patient administration systems and Microsoft Office Programs.
- Excellent customer service including appropriate telephone manner and a patient-centric approach to service provision
- Demonstrated high level of written, verbal and electronic communication skills to work well with a broad scope of patients, staff and affiliated organisations.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team to achieve quality patient/service outcomes
- Proven ability to maintain professionalism when dealing with both clients and staff during stressful situations.
- Demonstrated ability to follow systems and processes to support efficient and effective service delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to use initiative and to prioritise multiple tasks with competing timeframes with exceptional organisational and communication skills.
- Ability & willingness to work a flexible roster including varying shift times and location
