Job description
An exciting
opportunity for a full-time Administration Assistant - Operations to work
with Roads, Water, Sewer, Waste and Development Engineering
departments by providing professional, efficient and customer focused
administrative support within the Operations Directorate.
Key Accountabilities
To
provide accurate and timely administrative and secretarial support to Roads,
Water, Sewer, Waste and Development Engineering departments;
Process
invoices in compliance with procurement policies and procedures of Mid-Western
Regional Council;
To
liaise with customers and contractors and provide excellent customer service
support for the Roads, Water, Sewer, Waste and Development Engineering
departments;
To
implement processes to ensure the effective and efficient flow of information
and documentation relevant to each department including updating Council’s
electronic record management system;
To actively
promote and demonstrate the core values and behavioural requirements of the
Workplace Environment Statement;
To
cooperate with all health and safety policies and procedures of Mid-Western
Regional Council; and
Other
duties as directed by the supervisor not exceeding the skill level of the
position.
To be successful in this role you will have
Business
(Office Administration) Certificate III or 2 years equivalent administration
experience;
Demonstrated
experience in a business administration position;
Extensive
experience and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite of
applications;
High
level of interpersonal skills and an ability to work with a wide range of
people;
Comprehensive
time management and organisational skills;
Strong
working ability to assess situations and determine solutions;
Strong
working ability to handle difficult situations confidently and sensitively;
Experience
in a high volume, customer focused administration role supporting an individual
or team;
Knowledge
of workplace health and safety responsibilities and a commitment to attending
relevant WHS training;
Current class C drivers licence.
The salary range being offered for the position of Administration Assistant - Operations is $2242 - $2525 per fortnight (dependent on skills, qualifications
and experience) plus superannuation, a 19 day month and
long service leave after 5 years.
