St Laurence's College is a Catholic School in the Edmund Rice Tradition with an enrolment of approximately 2,000 boys from Years 5-12.
Applications are invited for a permanent, term-time Administration Assistant - Pastoral Precinct, to commence 8 July 2024. The work hours for this position are 7.30am-3.30pm, Monday-Friday. This role is term-time, which is not required over the school holiday periods. However, there is the option of working full-time and to also cover Reception over the holiday periods. The salary would vary. We are also open to discussing part-time or job share with the administration, term-time position.
The purpose of this position is being the first point of contact for students and to provide administrative assistance and support to the Dean of Middle School, Dean of Pastoral Care (Senior School) and Teaching Staff while attending to student absences, reports for existing students and database management.
A copy of the Position Description is available on the College Website, however the successful application will have:
- At least 2-3 years’ experience in a personal assistant or senior administration role within a school environment, preferably in the secondary school
- Experience in Reception and front desk duties
- A formal qualification eg Certificate III in Business Administration, would be looked at favourably
- A current Blue Card; and
- A current First Aid Certificate (or be willing to obtain the certification).
