ROLE
We have 2 roles available. One in our Palmerston branch and one in our Winnellie branch. First role is to provide administration assistance to our Employee Services Manager, to deliver an effective employment service program to people with disability. The second role is to provide administration assistance for our Finance & Administration team in Winnellie. To also deliver these services so they align with HPA’s Mission and Values Statement and prevailing standards and in accordance with the NDIS.
DUTIES POSITION 1
- Develop and implement Employee Assistance Plans and complete all documentation required with assistance/input from site Managers and Supervisors.
- Write individual Service Agreements for participants with ‘Finding and Keeping a Job’.
- Ensure all Employee related files, registers and databases are updated regularly and ready and available for audits.
- Work closely with other senior staff in a team environment.
- Assist with the supervision of supported employees when necessary.
- Liaise with the Employee Services Manager to ensure prompt outcomes for supported employees.
- Assist employees with disabilities to learn appropriate employment related skills in a safe and positive working environment, while ensuring they comply with all PPE and WHS policies and procedures.
- Actively participate in team meetings, other forums and working parties.
- Provide and maintain, so far as is practicable, a working environment that is safe and without risks to health and safety of people and be aware of their duty of care to exercise personal responsibility for their own safety and that of others.
- Comply with work health and safety policies and procedures.
- Comply with the NDIS Code of Conduct.
- Other duties as required by the Employee Services Manager.
DUTIES POSITION 2
- general office and reception duties, including answering phones and responding to enquiries
- scanning and records management in SharePoint
- assisting with IT and HR enquiries and data management
- cash handling and receiving payments from customers
- assistance with purchasing goods and services for the organisation
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL:
- Highly developed organisational, time management, analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to manage and meet the demands of multiple tasks, competing priorities and deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and effectively in a team environment.
- High level of interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products with accurate word processing and data entry skills.
- NT Drivers Licence
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- National Police Check
- Working with Children Clearance
- Senior First Aid Certificate
- Right to work in Australia
DESIRABLE:
- Relevant qualifications/ experience in the area of disability service provision or other related field.
