Seeking a professional Administration Officer for an Indigenous Earth Moving business, Based in Cairns

Hays Recruitment are pleased to represent an established family-owned multifaceted business that has been operating for over 20 years with the recruitment of an Administrator.
We are seeking a dedicated individual to support the team as the sole Administrator with the smooth operations of the office and administrative functions. This role is a full-time permanent position, starting ASAP.
Your new role
As the administrator you will assist and support management with day-to-day administration matters for an indigenous business. As the first point of contact to customers and clients, you will provide high quality professional, friendly and respectful management of telephone enquiries and management of emails.
The position is critical to this organisation and is a hands-on role which requires strong organisational skills, Confidence, and attention to detail – you will thrive in a busy environment.
You will also be responsible for but not limited to -
Weekly Payroll and Timesheet Management
Onboarding New Employees including training and inductions MYOB experience
Experience with excel spreadsheet preparation
Weekly Debtor Invoicing
Monthly Creditor Control
Correspondence In, Out and record management
Prepare and taking of Minutes of Meetings
Reception duties and attending telephone enquiries
What you'll need to succeed
We are seeking a well-presented motivated individual with a sound administration background, who can work autonomously and has experience supporting a senior management team, as well as overseeing and supporting the overall team.
You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to liaison with various stakeholders, all levels of staff and can interact with staff working in remote areas, with the ability to manage confidential information. You will be versatile and be able to think quick on your feet, as well as demonstrated writing skills and advanced MS office skills (Microsoft Excel and Word)
It would be highly desirable for you to have experience in MYOB, with knowledge of payroll processes. Experience within the construction, mining or heavy industry is desirable but not essential, you will be a personable team member with the drive to meet deadlines, deliver and succeed.
