This position is responsible for the day to day administrative assistance and have an excellent customer service approach. The tasks will include but not limited to answering telephones, assisting to develop scope of works, recording, and communicating information. The role will assist with developing and ensure that processes and systems are in place, completed and adhered to.
The role will continually improve systems and processes that ensures that the Infrastructure Department provides an auditable trail, helps to identify, and implement workflow as well enabling the team to identify efficiencies.
The Administration Officer – Infrastructure & Projects is required to maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity when dealing with customers and stakeholders ensuring that all guidelines are followed, in particular, purchasing and procurement.
This position may require direct prisoner contact and may involve weekend and public holiday work, remunerated in accordance with the applicable provision of the Victorian Public Service Enterprise Agreement 2020.
Some of your duties may include:
- Undertake general administration-based work required for the effective and successful functioning of the Infrastructure team.
- Develop a scope of works when requesting quotes for the provision of services and works to be performed by contractors to ensure that all specifications and works required are clearly understood.
- Continually develop and maintain a stock inventory management system to ensure that spare parts and consumables are available when required by the maintenance team.

- There are no essential qualifications required for this position. However, relevant qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in administration is desirable.
