Our large NSW State Government client provides a diverse range of essential services to reduce criminal activity and enhance protection of the community.
About the Role
They are currently seeking an experienced Administration Officer to join their team. This role is flexible to work across Parramatta or Sydney CBD offices with some flexibility to also work remotely from home. This is an estimated 2month temporary assignment, with a potential to extend.
Reporting to the Manager, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of administrative services to support the Public Guardian and its objectives
In this role, you will be responsible for however not limited to the following -
- Act as the first point of contact, delivering professional and empathetic customer service
- Reception duties, managing a busy switchboard
- Answer enquiries, providing timely and accurate responses
- Facilitate the resolution of complaints and issues
- Inbox management, generating correspondence
- Distribution of incoming and outgoing mail
- Preparation of high level documentation including agenda’s, meeting minutes, reports and presentation material
- Complete financial administrative duties
- Records and database management, ensuring high integrity, accuracy and confidentiality
- Ensure compliance with best practice and legislative requirements
About You
To be successful in this great assignment you will have the following –
- Demonstrated Administration or Business Support experience
- Previous experience within a complex/sensitive environment
- Professional, resilient and empathetic interpersonal skills
- Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS office suite
- Superior organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multi-task competing deadlines/timeframes.
- High attention to detail
- Willingness to complete a National Police Check
- Fully COVID vaccinated or medically exempt
- Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
