We are looking for an enthusiastic administrator to join our diverse, compassionate and dedicated team to provide effective and efficient administrative support and customer service in a busy health care setting. Our Administration Officer plays a key role in liaising with staff, clients and their families and ensuring the delivery of exemplary customer service. The Medical Centre Front Office provides direct services to outpatients attending the hospital, staff associated with the service, and members of the public. The Administrative Officer is responsible for working between the main reception counter and the front office to assist arrive patients, schedule outpatient appointments, register patients as well as other administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend to all persons presenting to the department in a professional manner displaying courtesy and efficiency in all matters.
- Uphold Privacy principles in all work related matters. This role will have access to detailed patient and organisational information which must never be divulged unless in the course of confidential and appropriate work related discussions.
- Answer phones in a courteous and professional manner, delivering messages as appropriate, and ensuring that calls are transferred appropriately when required.
- Provides a professional reception service to patients, staff and members of the public
- Works proficiently in periods of high demand and priorities tasks
What you bring
- Demonstrated experience providing administrative services to patients in a frontline role.
- Ability to undertake multiple tasks and to operate efficiently in a busy environment
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to work both within a team environment and autonomously
- Proficient knowledge and application of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
