Fremantle Ports comprises a team of around 380 people covering both operational and office-based roles, engages many maintenance, construction, and other contractors, and is both a landlord to a variety of facilities and the operator of its own import and export facilities in Kwinana.

About the Role
The Administrative Assistant will primarily be based at reception and will contribute to the achievement of the Executive General Management team goals. The role will participate in a broad range of functions, such as:
- Provide effective administrative support for the organisation, corporate projects and initiatives as directed
- Develop and maintain general knowledge about shipping, events, and projects
- Greet visitors, answer enquiries, and provide information to the public and customers
- Provide administrative support for meetings, workshops and projects, monitors activities and follows up overdue actions
- Provide support for record keeping allocation of invoices and processing purchase requisitions to meet deadlines
- Undertake tasks to improve the overall delivery of administrative services, including continuous improvement activities
- Establish effective working relationships to support the achievement of strategic and operational objectives
About you
You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team and independently to achieve outcomes. You will have experience in providing customer service and working cooperatively with others to successfully deliver business solutions.
You will be proactive and able to use initiative whilst also managing time and prioritising work to ensure customer requirements are met. Your strong communication skills will enable you to effectively communicate with people at all levels both internally and externally. You will have the ability to exercise good judgement in managing confidential and sensitive matters appropriately.
Experience in assisting with events in the workplace is highly regarded.
