About the role
We have a permanent opportunity within our Project Management team for an Advisor - Quality Assurance to undertake site inspections and reporting on contractor performance to ensure infrastructure projects are completed in accordance with the contract specifications, technical standards and to HSE and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures. Based in our Leederville office, this role will be reporting to Team Leader – Civil Quality Assurance.
What the role will involve
- Monitor the construction of infrastructure assets and ensure work conforms to contract specifications, corporate technical and quality standards and is suitable for acceptance by the Corporation
- Prepare detailed reports to record site activities, to ensure Contractors HSEQ of works and identify deficiencies
- Measure contractor performance, report deviations from specifications and construction program to the Superintendent’s Rep/Project Manager and initiate appropriate actions
- If required, provide input into contract claims and contract disputes through resolution processes
- Ensure compliance on site with all relevant Water Corporation HSEQ standards and specifications
Key skills and experience
You will have a trade certificate or post secondary qualification in project management or relevant discipline, along with relevant experience and skills in contract supervision and quality assurance. In addition, considerable experience and knowledge in a broad range of related engineering infrastructure and civil construction techniques. Your excellent stakeholder management skills, along with the ability to work as part of a team, and independently will ensure success in this role.
