About the role:
We are now looking for an experienced production supervisor to join our team in Minto.
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for supporting and supervising production activities to ensure that CSR's expectation of safety performance, production quality, customer service, and profit are met.
Lead Safety, Health and Environment programs on shift
Improve operational performance (e.g. quality, scrap and output)
Lead cultural change in the factory, including improving the skill levels of direct reports
Problem solving and root cause analysis
Implementing continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles
Optimising the use of labour and materials on site
Communicating with all stakeholders fostering a proactive working culture and high employee morale
Build and maintain an exceptional team culture in addition to creating a high-performance team who are accountable for all their actions
Conduct frequent team briefings to ensure team have clear visibility on targets, achievements, activity for the day and any safety requirements and provide a forum for two-way feedback
Skills & Qualifications:
To be considered for this role you will ideally have;
Background in a Production Supervisors role (or similar)
3+ years in manufacturing
Experience in delivering changes within a manufacturing environment
Leadership experience
Active, hands on approach with results focus
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with warehouse management systems and transport management systems preferred.
Inspiring and motivating leadership capability capable of coaching and developing others.
Strong ability to build and maintain professional relationships
Exceptional planning and prioritising skills
Experience in building high performance teams
Open and transparent communicator
Champions safety, health, compliance and sustainability
High level of ethics and integrity
The ability to work well in a fast paced environment and work well under pressure
