Aged Care Registered Nurse
Wanting to be close to Adelaide but escape the hustle and bustle of the city, but be able to travel to the city within a couple of hours? I have clients who have a number of regional aged care homes in South Australia close to Adelaide (2- 4 hours drive or a quick flight), one on the coast or nestled in beautiful vineyards or a very friendly scenic country town, which are all supported with a great team including Site Manager, Care Manager ,Clinical Nurses , Other RNs, EENs and AINs for this stand-out Non-for-profit organisation who has over 10 Residential Care Homes across South Australia.
As this is a large company there is a diverse team from outside the facility who also supports the Residential Care Facility – There’s a team to support the management, , strong HR and recruitment, fantastic quality and strong finance team. Within the facility you have a Residential Services Manager , Care Manager ,Clinical Nurse Specialist who helps support you . The administration team which handles roster, maintenance and sales. Facility is at 95% capacity. Also RNs, EENs and PCAs.
Are you a dynamic Registered Nurse with a passion and good knowledge of aged care with ideally 1+ year’s experience in Aged Care as a Registered Nurse, but would also consider new graduates .
ABOUT THE ROLE: The Registered Nurse will ensure a positive culture as well as exceptional care standards are maintained.
Registered Nurse in charge of floor, team leading and delegating acts of caring tasks to Enrolled Nurses and Personal Care Assistants, reporting to and liaising closely with Care Manager
Providing care for people within the ageing population, including respite, caring for people with various comorbidities including people experiencing Alzheimer’s disease
Practicing under and complying to the Aged Care Quality Standards
Experience in personalised care plans and ACFI for residents
Accurately dispensing of S8 drugs
ABOUT YOU
You will need to be a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
Ideally 1+ year experience as a RN but would consider new graduates.
Knowledge of personalised care plans
A passion for getting the best out of people.
Excellent communication skills are important as you are dealing with a large range of stakeholders.
Current police clearance
Influenza vaccine and Covid triple vaxxed.
Able to work shift work.
