About the roleAn exciting opportunity awaits for Aged Care Workers to join the team. selectability, a reputable Aged Care provider will soon be providing supports in the Lower Gulf of North Queensland from late August. These positions offer a chance to work in a supportive and caring environment, making a positive impact on the lives of the older persons.
Aged Care Workers play a vital role in the lives of the older persons by providing quality, responsive and compassionate care that supports a trusted and long-term relationship with our older persons. Working closely with the Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses and the collaborative healthcare team, the Aged Care Workers will provide person-centred care to support the older persons.

About youTo be successful you must:
- have a positive attitude
- experience working in a team environment
- possess clear and effective communication skills
- demonstrated understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage time
- be able to follow policies and procedures at all times
- be able to work with culturally and linguistically diverse communities and individuals
You will also need:
- Certificate III in Individual Support/ Home and Community Care/ Aged Care or equivalent qualification
- Previous experience working in an Aged Care residential facility
- Previous experience working in remote areas (highly desirable)
- current Flu vaccination
- current Covid vaccination
- national criminal history Police Check (completed in the last 12 months)
- a current minimum P1 "C" class Queensland drivers licence
- a current yellow card exemption or an NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability to obtain prior to commencement)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You' completion certificate (visit https://training.ndiscommission.gov.au to access this free module). at completion of the course, you will be provided with a certificate of completion which you can forward to **********@selectability.com.au
