Position Summary
Allied Health Assistant (Grade 2) - casual positions.
Latrobe Regional Hospital have exciting opportunities for Allied Health Assistants to join the team on a casual basis. These positions involve the provision of therapy support services, including individual and group therapy, under the supervision of clinicians. Roles extend across various Allied Health disciplines in clinical areas such as acute and sub-acute inpatient, and sub-acute ambulatory care, in addition to patient transport. Administrative duties are also involved.
These positions offer successful applicants the opportunity to develop a broad range of skills and experiences within a high performing and supportive environment. Allied Health undergraduates are welcome to apply.
Desirable Experience/Attributes:
- Successful completion of a nationally recognised Cert 3 or Cert 4 Allied Health Assistant course.
- Previous experience in the provision of therapy support services, including individual and/or group therapy.
- Sound knowledge base in areas particular to the provision of Allied Health Assistant services.
- Familiarity with computers.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Sound organisational and time-management skills.
- Self-motivation.

Selection Criteria Essential: Fully Vaccinated against COVID-19
Essential: Successful completion of at least the Certificate III (Allied Health Assistance) from a registered training organisation
Desirable: Successful completion of the Certificate IV (Allied Health Assistance) from a registered training organisation
Desirable: Previous experience in provision of therapy support services, including group and/or individual therapy
Desirable: Sound knowledge base in areas particular to the provision of Allied Health Assistant services
