What you'll be doing:
As an Allied Health Assistant at NBMLHD you will contribute positively as a member of a multidisciplinary team and provide high quality client focused care.

The role of the Allied Health Assistant will see you participate in performance development processes that ensure professional growth and service outcomes and ensure ongoing development and maintenance of knowledge, skills and attainment of competencies required to meet the services needs of allied health services.

You role of the Allied Health Assistant will provide clinical and administrative services as directed by a supervising allied health professional.

The occupant of this position is responsible for fulfilling short term deployments (up to 13 weeks) to cover vacant Allied Health Assistant shifts in NBMLHD.

An eligibility list may be created for future vacancies.

Selection criteria to be addressed: * Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance or relevant equivalent qualification or willingness to complete the required skills and competencies for the role.

• Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team and demonstrated patient manual handling experience in a healthcare setting.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines and complete activities.
• Understanding of allied health assistant scope of practice and task delegation processes.
• Demonstrated computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office and email applications.
