Healthscope are looking for a Dietician to provide a consultative service to both Hobart Private Hospital and St Helen’s Private Hospital.
Hobart Private Hospital
For over 20 years Hobart Private Hospital has been providing high quality care to Hobart and greater Tasmania residents. Our 146 bed hospital provides a unique range of acute services including general surgery, specialty care in orthopaedics, urology, gynaecology, breast, colorectal, oral, vascular, plastics, obesity surgery and select surgery for paediatrics. Obstetrics services includes a special care nursery. General and specialty medicine includes cardiology, angiography, endocrinology, gastroenterology, oncology, infectious diseases, respiratory and rheumatology.
St Helen’s Private Hospital
The treatments offered at St Helen's Private Hospital are aimed at helping people improve their psychological and emotional well-being in a safe and supportive environment.
We offer a variety of services including TMS and ECT therapies, and day programs that are tailored to meet the needs of people suffering from a range of mental health conditions. The Mother Baby Unit specialises in care of either or both the mother and baby and is a family centered service.
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive nutritional care for a wide range of acute patient groups on the critical care unit, medical and surgical wards.
Develop and prescribe nutritional care plans including enteral and parenteral nutrition.
Provide education in a group setting to the Mental Health Unit as well as the Mother Baby Unit
Provide individual assessment and treatment plans to patients in the acute setting and the mental health unit.
Perform duties in accordance with applicable standards, policies and regulatory guidelines to promote a safe work environment.

Essential Criteria:
Eligible for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia as an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD)
Ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team
Commitment to Quality Patient Care and Evidence Based Practice
Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Authority to work in Australia
