The role
The role of the Allocator & Merchandise Coordinator is to deliver growth by taking a customer centric approach by moving stock from the warehouse to the most appropriate stores at the most appropriate time, to achieve the company sales plan.
The role supports Allocations in line with Critical path, Trade and Forecasting processes to achieve agreed financial targets. The role also ensures stock optimisation (supporting growth and minimising risk), through timely and accurate forecasting and distribution, in line with business and customer requirements.
For Field/ Stock Coordination, the role is responsible for the coordination of the Field Merchandising activities through Third Party provider, to achieve agreed sales KPIs and targets.
Your key responsibilities:
- Using past sales data, processes weekly/fortnightly or monthly replenishment to satisfy sales and profit/sell thru % plans.
- Co-ordinates with the warehouse team the future pick calendar giving the warehouse manager visibility pick timing to plan resources.
- Prioritises flow of stock as discussed with Planning Manager in line with agreed Merchandise Plans or sell thru.
- Monitors and reacts to optimum Retailer inventory levels through the allocation process and decision making in consultation with Planner and Buyer.
- Escalates or reacts to any areas of opportunity or concern by Retailer for best sellers and/or worst sellers.
- Co-ordinates with the warehouse team the future pick calendar giving the warehouse manager visibility pick timing to plan resources.
- Analyses weekly sales reports for each Retailer.
- Maintaining weekly SKU reports.
- Actions own critical path tasks as directed by the Planning Manager to ensure Retailer team timelines are met.
- Delivers reports and analysis for relevant milestones within critical path (e.g. Sales for post season review for development in the future).
- Manages communication process and executes operational plans by sending information to third party Field Merchandising provider, to enable them to deliver on requirements as agreed with Retailer.
- Advises third party of Visual presentation requirements for Retailer, in line with merchandise guidelines. Communicates and directs stock layouts and plans to them for Retail Partner.
- Ensure all field merchandising activities are in line with agreed productivity targets and takes corrective action if necessary.
- Develops a deep understanding of the end consumer profile for each Retailer.
- Collaborates with Retailer Team and ensures all activities are customer centric.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience within an Allocation or Merchandising Assistant role
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel
- Excellent organisational, multi-tasking and time management skills.
- Highly attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable working autonomously and equally in a collaborative, busy team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to use initiaitive and build strong business relationships
