LIVE IN AU PAIR -ASHGROVE BRISBANE - START ASAP
A family of 4 in the beautiful leafy Ashgrove are looking for their first Aupair to join their family and help care for their 2 young children, a 4-year-old girl, and a nearly 2-year-old boy.
Miss 4-year-old has a contagious laugh and LOVES playing hide and seek and chasey! She takes well to people who are fun and engaging with her! She is very sweet and caring and has a cheeky side too! Mr 2-year-old is full of cheekiness! His favourite game is chasey and he loves to be tickled! He and his sister play nicely together the majority of the time!
You will be helping with the children, mainly before and after daycare but also some full days too.
On the days you are looking after the children, responsibilities include having fun playing with them, walking them to nearby parks, the local library, the reserve, etc.
When the children are in care for the day, responsibilities include mucking in to help us with the following: getting the children ready, drop-offs, pickups, food prep, laundry, loading/unloading the dishwasher, tidying up, washing up, bath and bedtime routine.
The family are from the UK and live in the popular leafy suburb of Ashgrove in Brisbane, which is less than a 15-minute drive into the city. Their house is right next to a reserve with a few wild koalas you might be lucky enough to spot. The reserve has lots of walking tracks & several bus stops nearby to get into the city including one about 3 minutes walk away at the top of the road. Within a 25-minute walk, there is a train into the city, a swimming pool, shops, gyms, restaurants, cafes, and walkways. There are lots of coffee shops even closer by, under a 5-minute walk. The Aussies do make the best coffee!
You are welcome to have full use of a pushbike with a lock to cycle around and explore Brisbane , the family only have 1 family car, we are therefore looking for an Au Pair who loves walking and doesn’t mind walking the children to daycare/kindy drop-offs (around 25 minutes to get there). If you can drive you can have occasional access for personal use
The family have a lovely large home with 2 living areas and you will have a large room.
You must be a dog-lover! They have a beautiful staffy-cross medium-sized dog
We are looking for someone to join this family ASAP (early April). To stay with the family for 3 Months until 10th July, then go travelling/do your own thing before rejoining us on 15th August then to work with us for another 3 Months.
However, if you can only fit in a 3 Month Placement please also apply!
Although driving isn’t required- you must be a keen walker as daycare/kindy are a 25-minute walk, so about an hour round-trip
