About the Role

  • The Anaesthetic Trainee is responsible for preparing the anaesthetic environment and is required to be present during the induction and maintenance for all elective and emergency anaesthetic procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment in accordance with departmental policy and manufacturers guidelines for maintenance, consumable supplies and auditing processes.
  • Demonstrate initiative and participate as an effective member of a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring all patient needs are met.
  • Provide ethical decision making in the achievement of organisational goals.
  • Maintain and perform contemporary practices by participating in continuing professional development. Aspects of professional development include acquiring and maintaining knowledge and skills through active participation in conferences, seminars, workplaces competencies and self-directed learning. It is a requirement for all Queensland health employees to complete mandatory trainings.
