We have an exciting opportunity for an Analyst to join our Sydney Team. You will support the National Finance Team in providing timely and accurate analysis, reporting and delivering insights and decision support for the Residential business. The role requires strong attention to detail and understanding of large volumes of data to simplify and create meaningful analysis and visualisations. BAU and adhoc analysis will at times change to meet internal requirements and priorities, so the candidate is required to be agile, a fast learner and work well under pressure.
The Analyst will need to maintain a solid understanding of the operations and assumptions that underlie Residential business-as-usual forecast position This in turn will necessitate an understanding of the most recent Budget / Forecast, which will form the base of all scenarios modelled
Your responsibilities are but not limited to:
Contributing to the National Finance team in delivering the consolidated Forecasts and annual Budget process including relevant timetables, instructions & templates for Business UnitsPreparation of key reconciliations and detailed analysis on Residential results (P&L, operational metrics, Cash flow, Key Performance Metrics) Supporting queries & escalate issues as requiredDrafting presentations, liaising with BUs surrounding Divisional Presentations Facilitate issues management and resolution during budget and forecast process Leverage off existing BI reporting and further enhancing reporting visualisationsCalculation of key metrics (Gross Margins, ROIC, Invested capital, EBIT margins)Preparation of the monthly RLT/CFO Report & contributing to the monthly Managing Directors ReporFacilitate and prepare Investor Presentations, Investor compendiums and Internal Q&ASupport Finance Manager by providing timely ad hoc analysis on the portfolio or individual projects. Analysis includes but not limited to Analysis of key project variances in both financial and operation metricsAnalysis of forecast and past data and identifying trends/ insights and issues using raw data, and presenting in a professional manner Financial modelling on portfolios to identify key lessons learnt from projects, what if analysis, performance evaluation and risks reviewsGain an understanding of Mirvac’s operations, plus key assets, projects and transactionsEngage with stakeholders through all stages in the scenario modelling process, from initial planning and coordination of inputs, through to delivery of outputs and analysisDrive collaboration and consistency across the Residential Finance TeamTake responsibility for the ongoing maintenance of the National Residential BI reports, models, including regularly updating the base data for the latest Budget / Forecast. Your point of differenceModerate experience in chartered and commercial and CPA/CA qualified Experience with business tools/systems (Microsoft BI, Tableu, Salesforce and Anaplan) The role will require understanding of accounting concepts, confidence to challenge financials and be able to derive a conclusion, which can be communicated to both finance and non-finance stakeholdersStrong Attention to detail, Excel skills, financial modelling skillsUnderstanding of technical accounting concepts Experience in management accounting and forecasting High level communication (written and verbal) and stakeholder management skills Mirvac's team is our most valuable asset, and we invest in our people accordingly.
