This opportunity
The Data & Insights Analyst is a critical role within the Customer Lifecycle Management team providing insights and recommendations to support the delivery of TPG Telecom Limited’s commercial strategy through the effective management of the Vodafone customer base. You will be part of a highly motivated team and a customer transformation program working on interesting and difficult problems.
As an integral member of the team, this role uses a proactive approach to demonstrate the value of analytics and insights and how it can be applied to inform business decisions which improve customer lifecycle management, achieve commercial targets and identify growth opportunities, while strengthening customer relationship and growing life time value. You will be responsible for the delivery of our next best action campaign analysis and customer insights with commercial outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Proactively engage with key business stakeholders to translate complex business questions into analytical tasks
- Regularly update stakeholders on findings and insights that can be applied to develop growth strategy and improve CLM campaign effectiveness
- Performing data, statistical and commercial analysis to understand how customer behaviour, product & pricing changes and campaign effectiveness impact revenues and subscribers
- Consolidating data and using sophisticated analytics to acquire insights to Analysing large, complex datasets to reveal underlying patterns, correlations, and trends
- Drive business improvements in retention, upselling, cross-selling campaigns to drive better customer engagement and revenue growth in the customer base
- Understanding customer behaviour using internal & external datasets through analysis, profiling and segmentation
- Examine customer behaviour using internal & external datasets to design and develop analytical models and their optimisation
- Drive analytics & business cases to come up with new ideas for promotions and campaigns to change the current behaviour by ensuring usage uplift and upgrading packages.
- Investigating performance of current products and translate insights into specific improvement suggestions & new feature proposals
- Provide Insights and analysis on customer behaviours across the different customer lifecycle stages, report on campaign effectiveness and its impact to overall revenues and subscribers
- Leveraging quantitative techniques to answer complex ad-hoc business problems
- Drive and support financial/commercial modelling to inform business decisions
- Business case development, financial modelling, and commercial analysis in relation to key projects and growth initiatives. Regularly update stakeholders on findings and insights to provide business strategy
- Developing and running robust performance dashboards and visualisation that support self-serve reporting
- Support the team with budgeting and forecasting
Knowledge and experience
- Tertiary qualified analytics, computer science, business/economics or related discipline
- Relevant experience in data and analytics related role
- Strong data query and data mining skills; programming in SQL required
- Proven ability to interpret business results from data mining and analysis
- Great stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate commercial requirements to align across common goals with diverse teams
- Strong problem-solving skills; systematic, analytical thinker with ability to design and implement analytical solutions and deliver actionable business insights
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Comfortable using Microsoft PowerPoint to craft presentations based on a defined narrative / storyline and key messages
- Strategic thinker and self-motivated to deliver your best work in a fast-paced environment
- Highly regarded skills and experiences: Python programming, AWS cloud-based data platform, reporting and visualisation technologies (Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik)
