Experienced policy review officer for a state government opportunity!
Your new company
You will work within an independent agency who investigates complaints about the actions and decisions of Queensland Government departments and agencies, local councils, and publicly funded universities. As a key member of the office's Corporate Services Unit, you will assist with reviewing and updating policies and procedures for finance, information services, and business services.
Your new role
You will assist with the development, review, amendment, implementation, and maintenance of a suite of policies and procedures within the corporate services unit.
Duties will include:
Actively monitor, review and assist with improvements to policy, procedure, process and administrative practice within the Corporate Services Unit.
Work collaboratively with other team members, participate in meetings and training programs.
Maintain high practice standards and demonstrate respect for legislation and policy frameworks.
Uphold integrity through appropriate use of processes and resources.
Proactively identify risks to organisations and team practices, evaluate possible solutions and take appropriate mitigation action.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have relevant experience in a policy based role with the ability to accurately interpret and implement policy and legislation. You will have high level skills related to decision-making based on policy, procedure, process and legislation as well as experience in administrative practice including the ability to make recommendations, deliver training and provide advice.
