Your new company
Our client is a government agency based in Brisbane that provides a number of products and services to assist in the building and maintenance of government owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities. Due to an increase in workload, they are looking to add an AO7 Project Manager to their team to help with their various and ongoing capital works projects.
Your new role
As the AO7 Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading capital works projects on behalf of the department to ensure program and project performance metrics are being met. You will coordinate capital works frameworks and financial management, as well as prepare project reports and documentation for recommendations for such works. Additionally, you will liaise with internal and external stakeholders by providing technical expertise and advice.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate a strong understanding of project management in regards to the building and construction of public works projects. Therefore, you will ideally come from a client-side project management background, with a relevant qualification in the engineering or project/construction management field. You will have an understanding of government regulations and guidelines regarding early works projects in Queensland, as well as previous experience using an array of Microsoft Programs to complete regular project reporting. You will also have an advanced level of experience in financial data analysis, program management and risk assessment.

You will be offered an immediate start in an initial 6 month contracted casual role within a government agency with the likelihood of extension. You will be offered a full-time temporary position paying $79.94 per hour + super.
