About the RoleGippsland Southern Health Services seeks applications for a Registered Nurse with clinical skills and experience and/or knowledge of the alcohol and drug field. As a Withdrawal Nurse you will be providing evidence based alcohol and drug services to people in hospital and in the community. This position is part time and negotiable up to 0.8 EFT.
About YouThe successful applicant will possess the following:
- Current AHPRA Registered Nurse registration.
- Experience working with people with drug and alcohol issues.
- Demonstrated understanding of the dynamics of family violence and it’s impacts on victim survivors along with an understanding of MARAM and the Victorian family violence system.
- Demonstrated experience in working with clients with complex needs.
- Organisational and problem solving skills.
- Sound understanding of primary care and commitment to the Social Model of Health.
- Proven ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environment.
- Evidence of ongoing self-development.
- Ability to provide high quality comprehensive AOD assessments and consequent development of Care and Recovery plans which are client and family inclusive.
- Have completed or are willing to complete AOD core competencies.
