Join us as a Application Packaging Engineer within our Infrastructure and Personal Technology team and play an integral role in the delivery of the Application Lifecycle Services at Macquarie

Be a part of our transformational journey over the next 12-24 months with Application Lifecycle being seen as a strategic pillar of the organisation’s technology vision. We have a growing team which is focussed on continuous improvement, customer delight and quality service, but we need help!

We are looking for an enthusiastic application packaging engineer, someone who is passionate, curious and excited about technology. In this role you will be contributing to support, creating application packages and managing applications across all platforms and businesses, globally.

It will require close collaboration with our various internal and external technology and business teams, as well as being customer-obsessed so that the service can provide the best user experience possible.

Your technical skills/experience should include:


  • Packaging vendor and in-house developed applications.
  • Provide and support end to end Application packaging and Lifecyle services.
  • Experience with tools like Install Shield, AdminStudio, and Windows Installer.
  • PowerShell scripting
  • Application Management via Microsoft Config Manager
  • Strong problem-solving skills including critical thinking, analysis, negotiation, Ability to work well under pressure and work on multiple projects
  • Should be a Quick Learner and strong Team Player
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience of a large enterprise operating system environment

Desirable:


  • Experience in Process Automation
  • Knowledge of MSIX
  • Awareness of application cyber security concerns
  • Passion for developing and implementing best practices/process documents
    Knowledge of wider EUC management
  • Understanding of Change Management processes (ITIL)
  • Agile methodology and tools
  • Programming languages, such as C# and Python
